Does anyone know of a good formula to use for an infant with acid reflux?

I have been using axid and also colic calm for my son’s relfux. He is 9 weeks old, and has more of the silent reflux that doesn’t spit up. But, I notice him gagging alot, having wet burps, and just all around fussy.
Friends… I have been to his Dr.! Thats how I recieved the Axid he is on! I didn’t just change his formula and give him medicine on a whim!!!!

go to the doctor, PRONTO, do not give any medicine that might not work on infants, or could damage them

My three month old daughter was quite fussy and gassy when we used regular Similac. That said we changed to Similac Sensitive which is a lactose free milk based formula for fussiness and gas.

However some stores carry Similac Sensitive RS which is supposed to relieve even further symptoms related to gas and spit up.

My son had acid reflux and I tried a few formulas. The doctor put him on Zantac and it helped greatly. I switched to Enfamil AR (coral colored can) and I saw a improvement immediately. Not only with the AR but with gas and stomach aches. I had to switch bottles as well. I ended up using Soothie bottles, but, you will just have to experiment. Ask the doctor about some medicine. My son took it until 9 months. If the doctor doesn’t want to put him on meds, then just try the Enfamil AR. There is also Enfamil Gentlease that is good for gas.

Many doctors recommend giving a small amount of cereal. It often reduces acid reflux problems. Ask your doc if this is ok.
